Temple College Hires Kristen Zaleski as Softball Coach

Coach Danny Scott introduced Kristen Zaleski as the Temple College Head Softball Coach on August 10, 2010.
Kristen Zaleski, 2000 graduate of Temple High School and former pro-softball star, was introduced on Tuesday, August 10, as the Temple College Head Softball Coach.

Kristen participated in softball at Texas State University for four years. While there, she was selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American Softball Second Team two straight seasons, the Southland Conference All-American Team and the CoSida All-District Academic First Team. Kristen was also named as an Academic All-American and was the first player in Southland Conference history to win both SLC Player and Hitter of the Year in back-to-back seasons and All-SLC First Team for three straight seasons.

After college, Kristen was drafted to play professional softball for the Texas Thunder, where she played for three seasons, and then the Rockford Thunder for two. In 2006, she was invited to participate in several United States Olympic Softball Tryouts. She was selected to be a member of the United States Softball National Training Team where she gained valuable experience from being on the same field as Olympic players and coaches.

Kristen was a graduate assistant coach at Texas State and has coached numerous ASA teams, taking one to a top 10 finish at the Colorado Louisville Slugger Independence Day Tournament. Since 2006 Kristen has served as hitting instructor at Temple College Softball Elite Softball Camps.
